Photocentric LC Maximus

Photocentric LC Maximus

Large Format 3D Printing Enabling Custom Mass Manufacturing

The latest generation of Photocentric largeĀ  format 3D printers are capable of manufacturing large parts at a scale previously impossible using other 3D printing technologies.

With continuous advancements in LCD screen sizes and resolution, Photocentrics patented Daylight LCD technology and materials development are disrupting the way industrial parts are made.

Delivering industrial scale 3D printing at the fraction of the price of conventional hardware, Photocentric has made 3D printing accessible for industries looking for a solution to their production line.

LC Maximus

  • Large format build volume 920 x 510 x 800 mm
  • Incredible print speeds of 8mm per hour at 100 microns
  • Amazing cure speed of 100 microns 45 sec / layer (depending on resin)
  • 3840 x 2160px 4K Screen
  • Detailed XY pixel resolutions of 230 microns

Print small parts in high volume to large industrial parts in exceptional detail

Accuracy

4K Ultra High Definition Display

Using a purpose-built optimised light engine emitting through the LC Maximus’ ultra 4K LCD screen delivers suprising accuracy. The pixel pitch of xy resolution 230 um is enhanced by anti-aliasing and resolutions of +/- 150 um can be achieved on built parts (depending upon resin type and geometry). The build speed, volume and cost make this offering incomparable to the conventional technology of large format laser SLA machines.

Build Quality

LC Maximus is manufactured in the UK using the highest engineered materials possible, setting new standards in printer quality and reliability. Their patented blow-peel technology all but eliminates the forces that come into play with large build volumes.

Performance

Print Speed

Photocentric has achieved the possibility of fast printing in the LC Maximus by adjusting the photo-reactivity of the resins and specifying a powerful light engine. It makes it one of the most impressive machines ever made that can selectively;y convert functionlised polymers into solids.

Their expertise in resin material development and print hardware delivers the compete solution for every industry. With expertise in house from their team of chemists, software engineers, mechanical engineers and technicians, Photocentric have managed to achieve rapid print times building functional materials for a variety of different applications. Print speeds of down to seconds per layer (resin dependent) make Maximus the machine of choice for large production capability.

Creating the Largest Quantity of a Single PPE Item by 3D printing Ever Made

Photocentric has mass produced 7.7 million face shields for the NHS using unique and disruptive LCD technology, Photocentric has demonstrated one of the real benefits of immediate product development and manufacturing when supply chains are down.

Finished Parts

Traditional injection molding provides a cost-effective solution when mass manufacturing plastic parts at scale, however, 3D printing makes low-volume and one-off parts cost effective. Maximus with low upfront costs and quick return on investment, places it between both technologies by providing a solution that can be used for custom low runs.
